PROFILE PICTURE AMANDA ABOUT.jpg

YES, I AM

a lot like you

I believe, first and foremost, in humor.

I believe, second and secondmost, that anyone can benefit from coaching.
I believe we’re all whole, integrated human beings, and that what decisions we make in one area of our life inevitably impact the others.
I believe, at the end of the day, you are the most qualified person to determine what you need.
I do not push extensive  coaching packages to individuals because I want you to have the autonomy to decide what you need from me and when.
When you’re ready to spread your wings, you’ll do so on your own time.

Anatomy of a Coaching Session

#01

INTRODUCTORY CHECK-IN

#02

DEFINE THE RIGHT TOOLS

#03

PLAN OF ACTION

Each session begin with a check-in. What's going on? What are you getting hung up on? What are the insights that you've uncovered? What’s keeping you up at night?

After we’ve defined the topic we want to tackle, we’ll dive into a blend of reflective questioning and brain-based tools to help you both realize and understand what lies beneath the surface. We might explore the inner critic, get into some brain science, or further untangle an internal problem you’ve been trying to solve.

Once we’ve identified a potential root for the difficulty you’re experiencing, we’ll create a specific, measurable plan of action for you to play with in the coming weeks. And you better believe you’ll be walking away with an armful of journal prompts to further explore what’s going on inside.

MY JOURNEY TO

imposter to author
to
coach.

After many years in corporate roles that didn’t suit me, I wondered what it might look like to take a chance on myself. One of my last employer’s parting words to me were, “Please, go and help people. Stop trying to manage projects. It’s not what you’re meant to do.”
I had volunteered as a pastor in an intentional living community in Portland, Oregon for over a decade. My time with the church was done, but I still longed to help others find belonging and meaning in life. I launched a career in ghostwriting, which enabled me to unite my love for writing with my love for helping others find their voice. In the process, I was hired by a coach training organization called Coach Training EDU.
They hired me to write, but in the process, I fell in love with coaching. I saw its real, tangible benefits and came alive every time I had the chance to witness someone make a breakthrough.
Those breakthroughs are what I continue to live and work for each day.

I believe that coaching should be accessible to all, no matter what insurance thinks about it. I offer free or subsidized coaching to single moms through Habitat for Humanity. If you become my client, you make coaching possible for these women as well.
