discovering

belonging and meaning

I'm a Harvard Business Review author, speaker, and ICF-certified life coach in Bend, Oregon. I am the founder of the Aspiring Wise Old Woman Collective, a group of women just crazy enough to believe we can break free from decision fatigue and overthinking, becoming the wise old lady across the table. I coach individuals and groups, facilitate retreats, and coach and mentor teens.

As a former pastor, I still do some of the same stuff:

- I am a wedding officiant serving all of Oregon and do pre-marital coaching

- I count it a privilege to come alongside grieving people

- I love to help people unravel their spiritual lives, whatever that looks like for them

- I do everything I can to help people in Central Oregon find and build their village

I've never known a stranger, and look forward to meeting you!

WHAT IS

coaching
anyway?

Coaching is a partnership between coach and client to find solution's to life's biggest challenges. We meet regularly (as often as you want!) to unravel the things you've spent a long time avoiding.

Here are a list of topics that commonly come up in my coaching sessions:

+ How do I get the courage to set boundaries in my relationships at work and home?

+ How do I defeat imposter syndrome and start that business I've always dreamed of?

+ How do I make the most out of parenting during the teen years?

+ How do I make a schedule that works for my ADHD?

+ How can I communicate better as a neurodivergent person?

+ What are my priorities and values in life?

+ How can I stop overthinking everything all the time?

+ How can I grow to have a healthy appreciation for myself and take care of myself in the midst of all the demands on me from day to day?

+ How do I figure out what I want in a romantic partner, or whether I want to stay in this relationship?

+ How do I start a daily writing practice, or become a better writer?

+ How do I start a mindfulness or meditation practice?

+ How do I develop a different relationship with my inner critic?

+ How do I figure out what I'm good at, or what I want to do with my life?

+ How can I re-write my origin story?

+ How do I navigate the transition to being an empty nester?

+ How do I find like-minded community and make friends?

+ How can I become more creative?

+ How can I become more courageous?

Anatomy of a Coaching Session

#01

INTRODUCTORY CHECK-IN

#02

DEFINE THE RIGHT TOOLS

#03

PLAN OF ACTION

Each session begin with a check-in. What's going on? What are you getting hung up on? What are the insights that you've uncovered? What’s keeping you up at night?

After we’ve defined the topic we want to tackle, we’ll dive into a blend of reflective questioning and brain-based tools to help you both realize and understand what lies beneath the surface. We might explore the inner critic, get into some brain science, or further untangle an internal problem you’ve been trying to solve.

Once we’ve identified a potential root for the difficulty you’re experiencing, we’ll create a specific, measurable plan of action for you to play with in the coming weeks. And you better believe you’ll be walking away with an armful of journal prompts to further explore what’s going on inside.

I believe that coaching should be accessible to all, no matter what insurance thinks about it. I offer free or subsidized coaching to single moms through Habitat for Humanity. If you become my client, you make coaching possible for these women as well.
